This is due to the market being flooded with poor quality ELM327 devices. Our products are fully compatible with forscan and so this error does not apply to our devices and you should ignore it as all features and functions still work as they always have done.
If the error bothers you. either use an older version of forscan or purchase our vLinkerFS device instead.

This device works with Windows PC Ford software such as Elmconfig, Forscan, FF2, Conversmod and FoCCCus. It can also be used with other car makes and other ELM327 compatible OBD software.

USB ELM327 and software is for Windows PC only.
It can be used with iMac but only if running Windows via dual boot or virtual machine and provided the iMac performance is not compromised.
Any laptop from Windows XP to Windows 10 will be fine however if module programming is required we would recommend Intel i3 minimum spec.
Please keep your laptop plugged into a mains charger at all times to avoid unexpected shutdown due to poor battery performance.

"Following an injector AWOL issue with my Mondeo Mk3, TDCI, I could not recode with F-Super and Formidable. Many attempts later and zilch. So bought the TunnelRat Modified ELM327 USB and downloaded ForScan. The item arrived within two days, installed ForScan and the required driver and within five minutes, all the codes had been re-written and the engine fired up first time.
